Rejection!!!

Finally got my rejection letter through .......Didn't get the job but awww well on to the next!

Funny how having a rejection letter makes you look at yourself in a negative way. What did I do wrong, what did they not like about me......Makes you very critical of yourself.

Another application is on my desk waiting for the final draft. Why oh why do I find the question "why are you suited for the job" so hard! gives me writers block everytime!

Anyway on to more cheery things......

Designed a new keychain. birth announcements! At the minute they are only available in Gold plate findings. Baby Girl and Baby Boy! What a different way to congratulate the proud mum.....
You can purchase both at my Folksy shop here:

Mothers Day Gifts

Well, Mothers days is nearly upon us , a time to say special thanks to our mums for being there for us. Good and bad, I love my mum, we sometimes argue and have difference of opinions but I love her no matter.

Funny how I have been designing lots of jewellery items for other peoples mum. As I make the piece I wonder who will receive it, what will they think about it.... funny the things that cross your mind when you bead!

At my folksy shop I have several keyrings/key chains and bracelets with the word 'mum' Incorporated into the design.

Don't forget to let your mum know how much you care, not just on Mothers Day but each and every day.

Handmade Bracelet designs

I don't quite know why I have such a hard time trying to remember to blog! I have kept written diaries for years.
Had quite a busy week making jewellery even designed several different handmade charm bracelets.
Design 1)

Design 2)

Both of these can be purchased at my Folksy account

Amazing how enjoyable making jewellery really is. Designing and choosing the colours. And the final reward when the project is finished. You can lose all your worries for a couple of hours with a set of pliers and jump rings!
Feedback is welcome on any of blogs posts

New Blog, New Day, New Life!

Welcome to my blog. Here you can keep up today with my latest creations in the jewellery world...

I started jewellery making as an aide to quitting smoking. Found the focus needed to bead kept my mind off 'lighting up' and it also meant my hands were too busy....

3 years later I love the relaxing feeling I get when crafting a new project. Playing with colour, experimenting with texture and seeing the vision in the end product.

I do not design elaborate pieces, just simple and cost effective jewellery that i love to wear and hope you do too.
